Walk through the old town of Echuca down at the Port where you will be transported back to a simpler time, before iPads, when air conditioning was known as the wind.
Depending on when you travel, you could be privy to the tug-of-war event, the Riverboats Musical Festival or even a historical street display of vintage cars. Even without all these goings-on, you can still thoroughly enjoy a walk along the wharf as the sun goes down, and drop into the Star Hotel to check out the underground bar and sawmill site.

Wet your whistle with the assistance of the Echuca Moama Food and Wine Trail; discover the riverside eateries, local produce on offer and various wineries that are available to you while you holiday.
Stop and stare in awe at the great wall of beer cans at The Great Aussie Beer Shed and let yourself dream of a day when you can claim each beer you drink for your own impressive collection (if your wife lets you). This unique shed comes not only with a hoarding problem, but a beer garden to get a taste for your new hobby, and various other collections like tap tops, handles, barrels, bottles, signs, brewery manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Kids are drawn to the historical wonderment of the paddle steamers; enticing them with loud foghorns and simple engineering that will serve them well in science class for years to come. The river cruises are located in town, around 10 minutes from the Discovery Parks - Echucha and will take you and your family to some stunningly secluded areas of the river. Paddle steamers leave every hour, during business hours, though some companies do have night cruises.
